When planning a newborn photo session that includes siblings and pets, it's important to prioritize a relaxed environment and the right time of day. Newborns sessions always begin at 10 am when everyone has had time to get ready but the day is still young.

Siblings play a significant role in the family dynamic, and joining them in newborn photo sessions can result in incredibly touching images. These are the magical photos that we cherish for a lifetime!
During my photoshoots I encourage siblings to express their love and affection naturally, capturing candid moments that reflect the genuine bond between them. This works by being patient and flexible, as working with young children requires a relaxed and fun approach. Sometimes it can also be fun to include a game or activities that engage siblings.
Introducing Furry Friends…
For families with dogs or other pets, including them in newborn sessions can add something special. I always make sure both the baby and pet are comfortable by letting them adjust slowly. Having a few dog treats available for me to keep in my pocket also helps get your pup’s attention when needed.
