Friends, I cannot believe that the holiday season is almost here! Halloween is knocking on our door! That means the rest of the holidays are right behind it! Instead of waiting till the last minute this year, I’ve put together three ways to help you prepare to send out your holiday cards! These three easy steps will keep you from scrambling and paying those extra shipping fees to make sure your holiday cards are here on time! Tell me I’m not the only one that’s had to do that?!

Schedule Family Session for Holiday Cards

While most of us stay updated with our family and friends on social media, those images tend to be in the chaos of the day and taken on our phones. Your holiday cards shouldn’t be the same quality as the grainy photos that come from our phones. The images on your holiday cards should be of better quality, print-wise, and include your entire family. That means you, momma! To make sure you get the best images for your cards, schedule a family session with your local Santa Barbara photographer (for those in the central coast, my fall calendar is open, and you can book your session here).

Design and Order Cards- you can order HOLIDAY cards directly from my website's print shop

Once you have your photos back, you will be able to use them in a variety of ways. Printing, framing, and sharing are all great ways to use your images. These images are also perfect for your holiday cards. My print shop offers cards and is directly linked to your gallery. All you have to do is pick your photos and update the names. It's very user-friendly and easy to order.

Update Your Address List

While you’re waiting on your cards to arrive, it’s always a good idea to update that address book. A simple social media post or text to those you haven’t recently spoken to can go a long way. Updating your address list ensures that you won’t receive any of those pesky “No longer at this address” returns! Once you have your address list updated, you can then get labels printed if you’d rather not handwrite each envelope. Now all you need is your cards!

Once your cards have arrived, you can bring the family together for an assembly line and knock these out in no time! Friends, I know the holiday season is a lot! The planning, the parties, and the prep can be overwhelming! Hopefully, these tips will help you conquer one thing on your to-do list, and, as always, I’m here to help where I can. If you’re needing to schedule your session, go over outfit choices, or narrow down which photos to use, just let me know! I’m happy to help!
