What to Expect After Your Family Session | Santa Barbara Family Photographer

The majority of the conversations that I have with my families is in preparation for their session. We discuss location, clothing, and prepping each member of the family, so everyone is ready to go on photo day. However, I want to take some time and talk about what happens after your family session.

What You Do After Your Family Session

After we have said our goodbyes, I always encourage families to take advantage of the evening! This could be taking your family out to dinner (some of my favorite local spots are listed below), seeing a movie together, or a family activity such as bowling or the arcade. Talk with your family prior to photo day about what they would like to do after your session is over. You have just spent an hour loving on each other, and I want you to hold on to that for as long as possible! Well… unless you’ve had a beach session, then I suggest you head straight for the bathtub!

What I Do After Your Family Session

After your session, I begin the culling process. This means I go through each and every image I captured during your session. I select the absolute best from your session and begin the editing process. Once these images have been edited, several things will happen. First, keep an eye out on my social media. I love posting a sneak peek or two from your session prior to your gallery being delivered. Not following me yet? You can find me on both Instagram and Facebook. Next, you will receive your gallery of photographs (both in color and B&W) within three weeks of your session. Your gallery is where you will download, share, and print your images. Your curated luxury album will be delivered to your home shortly after that.
