What is a Back-to-school fine art portrait?

Fine Art Portraits are a fresh and modern perspective on school photography. At the heart of my approach is the genuine portrayal of each child in front of the camera. I never coerce artificial smiles or impose awkward poses. Instead, I capture the authentic essence of the child as they naturally are on that day. The outcome is a collection of timeless and authentic portraits, a departure from the conventional, clichéd photos characterized by garish flashes and cluttered backgrounds.

what's the cost?

Your $50 sign-up fee reserves your time for one child and will be credited to your purchase. Please purchase one spot per child. Print products and digital files will be available for purchase after viewing your proof gallery

What are the product prices?

A single digital file is $50. Your child's whole gallery is $90 and will include a minimum of 5 images. Archival color and B&W prints with a luster finish are available starting at $15. Hand-wrapped canvases are also available.

What to Wear

I want your child to be comfortable. If they’re fussing with their itchy new sweater they can’t relax and be themselves. The only thing I’d shy away from is t-shirts with words or pictures as they can be distracting. Otherwise, let them express themselves.

Can more than one child have a portrait taken?

Absolutely. However, only one child will be photographed per sitting. If you have more than one child please select one time slot per child. No siblings will be photographed together. No parents will be photographed. If you’re interested in a lifestyle family photo session learn more here.

Ordering Photos

After the Pop-Up photo day, I get to work selecting the best images of your child or children. When your photos are ready to view you’ll get an email letting you know the galleries are live. The ordering process is simple and secure. The gallery will only be available for 4 weeks (don’t worry, you’ll get a reminder email before it expires, I’m a busy parent too, I get it)!

Please note: Orders cannot be placed after the gallery expires.

Delivery

All printed products will be charged shipping and mailed directly to your home (there is no pick-up option). CA Sales Tax will be applied at checkout. If you purchase digital files they will be available almost immediately for download to your computer.
